Goodness it turned cold this weekend! I joke that quilting is my winter hobby and needlepoint is my spring sport. Quilting has to be done indoors. I can take my needlepoint projects outside and enjoy the weather while I work on them.
Since it turned cold again this weekend I took the opportunity to finish my Fourth of July quilt. Fun fact- July 4th is right up there with Christmas for me. I absolutely LOVE IT! I love the colors. I love the food. I love the pool parties and I love hosting!
I started this quilt last summer. Originally I was going to make a king size quilt. I decided I would rather have a throw quilt to enjoy in the family room than a quilt for my bed. This means I have another throw quilt I can finish and gift to someone. Who wants it????
Anyhow, I had put it away last summer and just got it back out recently to finish. Didn’t she turn out cute?????

And can we take a moment for the floral backing??

Why yes I did sneak in my needlepoint pillow. Oh my goodness I can hardly stand the cuteness!!
Now I need warmer weather and all the red white and blue holidays to commence! Bring on summer!
